WWDC

Hard truth: a pre-recorded event is safe, but let's have it right, it's boring.

I'm as big an Apple fan boi as the next person.

But I wouldn't travel across America, let alone halfway around the world, to watch a pre-recorded video.

The essence of launch events (for me) is live.

When people know they can miss something, they lean in.

Think about the power of live news or sports.

Doesn't matter if the audience is there in person or streaming online.

Take away the live aspect and you lose the vibe.

I don't imagine Steve Jobs would've ever done it this way.

Nor do modern contemporaries like Elon Musk.

Then we get to the actual product updates from Apple zzzzz

What was your take on the latest Apple event?
