Google announced a lot of AI stuff at I/O this year (again).
One especially caught my eye: Google AI Studio has quietly become one of the leading vibe coding apps.
But what stood out wasn’t just the models.
It was the ecosystem play and their new Google Workspace integration.
AI Studio can now integrate with:
- Sheets
- Drive
- Docs
- Direct export into Antigravity
- Persistent project context
- Team workflows
Google isn’t just competing on “best AI model” anymore as Gemini is more than capable.
They’re trying to become the operating system for AI-native development.
And the competition is getting very interesting now as by my reckoning there's several leading vibe coding platforms:

7) Vercel

9) Rork
Everyone is racing toward the same idea: software creation that becomes conversational.
I for one can't wait to see what people build.
