You don't always have to use the founder when pitching PR stories.
I worked for a brand called OPPO; you might've heard of it. Almost certainly, you won't have heard of its founder.
And that's the way he liked it.
So, for me, the challenge was, who else could I work with to develop the stories that I knew people wanted to know about?
That's where you turn to other people in the company.
Whether that's the C-suite, engineers, or even PR's themselves.
I asked a journalist (Ben Sin) to come with me to our factory and meet the inventor of the fast-charging technology that made our phones the fastest charging on earth.
'Jeff' tinkered with this stuff in his home workshop and at the factory until they could mass produce his work.

Bottom line: stories can be found anywhere and everywhere.
You need to know where to look.
