The BBC have done a piece on Shein. They focus a lot on factories and labor.
What they don't mention is how they're beating Zara/HM, etc, on digital, i.e, ecom, SEO, social, etc.
E.g. monthly website traffic:
Shein - 200m
Zara - 120m
HM - 103m
In some ways, this captures the zeitgeist in Europe right now.
It's a loser mentality, focused on bringing down people and companies from places in the world, i.e., the US and Asia.
The reality is that Shein, in this case, is winning as it's simply a better business and innovates faster than its Fashion rivals in Europe.
The BBC and the media at large have a role to report on the truth.
Telling one-sided stories like this is failing the public.
